Nigeria has a huge population of vulnerable groups. The most vulnerable populations in Nigeria include children, pregnant women, people living with disabilities (PWDs), elderly, displaced, unemployed, retirees and the sick. Many members of these vulnerable population have never assessed any form of social security in their environment. Their condition has made them prone to different levels of harm and vices. Custos Care Foundation through the social protection program creates some level of security for these vulnerable people in Enugu state. The project factors in the socio- economic and physical circumstances that impact on the welfare of this group during intervention. We at Custos Care Foundation hope to effectively and efficiently protect the vulnerable groups in Enugu state through our well thought out development approaches believing that by 2030, we will have a society where vulnerable and economically disadvantaged people enjoy their rights and live in dignity.

Custoscare Foundation intervenes in these areas by accelerating access and utilization of maternal and child healthcare services in Enugu state.
According to the United Nations, there are currently about 10.5 million out-of-school children in Nigeria. It’s even deeper when you realize that 1 in every 5 of the world’s out-of-school children lives in Nigeria.
Women and youth constitute more than 70% of the African population. Sadly, amidst these numbers, only very few contribute positively to economies in Africa.
