Impact Stories
Custoscare is actively involved in a series of intervention programs according to its SDGs, we are committed to human development impact projects. Below are some exerpts from our previous campaigns.

Maternal and child healthcare and welfare Intervention Program
Intervention Category: Mother and child healthcare and welfare
Maternal and child healthcare and welfare are paramount for numerous reasons.
Firstly, they directly contribute to the overall health and prosperity of communities. When mothers and children are healthy, they can actively contribute to the workforce and economic growth.
Moreover, prioritizing their health reduces infant mortality rates, enhances childhood development outcomes, and ensures a healthier future generation.
We provided support to new mothers through hampers and gifts, aiming to alleviate the challenges they face.
Additionally, we took a significant step by offering one-year health insurance coverage for children under the age of five in the communities we visited. This initiative aims to ensure that every child has access to essential healthcare services, promoting their well-being and future prospects.

Special Valentines Day Event for adolescents and secondary school students across Enugu State
Intervention Category: Basic Education for all
During Valentine, we hosted a special event, tailored specifically for adolescents and secondary school students across the state. It was a celebration filled with laughter, learning, and love.
At the heart of our gathering was the desire to demystify Valentine’s Day and provide valuable education on topics affecting our youths. We invited speakers from various fields including clergy, healthcare and representatives from the NDLEA (National Drug Law Enforcement Agency) who engaged with the students, shedding light on the true meaning of love, the significance of maintaining good menstrual hygiene for the young ladies and the dangers of drug abuse emphasizing that they can succeed without the abuse of illicit drugs.
These discussions were not just informative but also empowering, equipping our youth with knowledge to navigate relationships and their own well-being.

Baby Nkechi's story
A Story of Strength and Transformation: Baby Nkechi’s Journey
At Custos Care Foundation, our mission is to uplift and support vulnerable families, ensuring that no mother or child is left without care.
During the launch of our Maternal and Child Healthcare Initiative, we encountered a young mother facing an unimaginable ordeal. She had given birth far too soon—at just 31 weeks and three days—due to cervical incompetence. Her tiny daughter arrived into the world fragile and vulnerable, fighting for every breath. Overwhelmed and uncertain, the mother struggled to navigate this difficult reality.
Recognising the urgency of their situation, Custos Care Foundation immediately stepped in, providing swift medical intervention, essential supplies, and unwavering support. Every second counted in ensuring the baby’s survival, and we remained by their side, determined to see her pull through. Our founder, deeply moved by their plight, followed up relentlessly—making calls, checking in, and ensuring that every possible resource was provided to aid the baby’s recovery.
Against the odds, the little one triumphed. The delicate newborn who once fought for life is now a thriving, healthy, and joyful child.
In a heartwarming gesture of gratitude, the parents named their daughter Nkechi, after our founder, as a tribute to the kindness and care they received during their most challenging time.
To further support their continued well-being, we provided food supplies, financial assistance, and essentials to aid Nkechi’s growth and development.
Baby Nkechi’s story is a testament to what is possible when kindness meets action. It is a reminder of the incredible change we can bring when we come together for a cause greater than ourselves. We are humbled to have been part of this family’s journey and remain committed to making a lasting difference.
At Custos Care Foundation, we stand firm in our belief that every child deserves a fighting chance, and every mother deserves the support to nurture and raise her child with confidence. Stories like Nkechi’s inspire us to continue our work—changing lives, one mother, one child, and one family at a time.
