Enugu East LGA Says No to Child Abuse: Custos Care Foundation Launches Empowering Campaign!
We at Custos Care Foundation are bursting with excitement to announce the launch of our child abuse prevention campaign in Enugu East LGA! This initiative is a powerful collaboration with the esteemed Office of the First Lady, Enugu State.
Yesterday, our team brought the fight against child abuse directly to the heart of the community. We visited Central School Emene and Community School Amorji, and the students’ energy was absolutely infectious!
Instead of a traditional lecture format, we aimed to empower these young minds to actively participate in safeguarding themselves and their peers. Through interactive sessions, we equipped students with the knowledge to recognize the signs of child abuse.
But knowledge is just the first step. That’s why we’re thrilled to introduce the “Little Vanguards” clubs! These supervised clubs within the schools will be a safe haven for students. They can voice concerns, report suspected abuse, and receive unwavering support. These clubs will build a vigilant network, weaving a protective shield throughout the schools.
The overwhelmingly positive response from the schools has solidified our commitment to this crucial cause.
Seeing the students’ enthusiastic embrace of this initiative fills us with immense hope for the future. This campaign is just the opening chapter in our fight against child abuse.
